What is a Get Acquainted Visit?
If you are a new Pet Assist client we will schedule a FREE Get Acquainted meeting prior to your first service. This allows you and your pets to meet us and allows us to get acquainted with your needs.
What to expect.
A Pet Assist representative will come to your home at a time convenient for you. They will answer your questions and meet your pets. A profile for each of your pets will be created and kept on file for future reference. If you would like you can create your pet's profile online. Please contact the home office to update your pet's care profile as needed.
Keys.
Keys can be handled in one of two ways:
The first and best option is to keep your house keys under your control. We recommend you use a combination lock box outside your home. The box may be attached to your door, hand railing, or other easily accessed location. Please provide two sets of keys in the box (one for an emergency back up). You may provide your own box or we can provide one for a $35 deposit.* The nice thing about our lock box is the combination can be easily changed for added security.
As a second option, you can provide us with two sets of keys, one for the dog walker and one to keep as an emergency backup at our office. For your security, keys are numbered and not kept with any identifying papers.
Please have your keys ready at the Get Acquainted Meeting. If we need to make a special trip to your home to pick-up and deliver keys there will be a $20 charge for this service. We can also make duplicate keys for you at a cost of $7 per key.
Please be ready to tell the Pet Assist representative during the Get Acquainted visit how you would like your keys handled.
Payment
In an effort to keep the cost of service down, Pet Assist does not maintain an accounts receivable department. Please pay for your service when making your reservation.
You may make payment at the Get Acquainted meeting by cash or check, but it is not required. We can email an invoice for secure online payment, or you can mail a check or money order to our office. Make checks payable to Pet Assist, Inc. and mail to 2 Albemarle Rd, Norwood, MA 02062.
We will confirm your reservation when payment is received.
